The Hurdle Test

Hurdles:

• Raw number of searches on the category generic term
• The List Health Test:
  How quickly the list falls off from large to small numbers
• The List Contamination Test:
  How many non-relevant terms are contained on the list
• The List Depth Test:
  How far down the list I can go before the numbers break 3,000 and 1,000
  Best - go all the way to the bottom and still have numbers above 3,000

Overture Tool Disadvantages

• Results are variations of terms you input
• Standardized spellings
• Results box limited in size
• Weird alphabetization thing

• Run several related keywords/synonyms through Overture's tool to see how they fare
